Women's Murder Club

I love this show! It's based on a book series by James Patterson and it's about four women, a homicide detective, a medical examiner, an assistant district attourney, and a newspaper reporter who team together to solve homicide investigations. First of all, I really like this show because it's a lot like CSI, which I have always loved! But most of all, I love this show because it shows serious female power! These women have had trouble in the past with other people in the department, so they have decided to form this exclusive "club" and they all help each other out. I really think you should check out this show! Plus, these women are hot!!! The bad thing is, however, that it is on ABC on Friday nights at 9:00pm. I have been recording it each time and then watching it later... I think that's the best idea! You can also watch them online, but I think they are kinda slow on uploading them.

I am also beginning to read the series. James Patterson is an amazing writer and, from what I've heard, these books are amazing, as well. There are 6 books and they are each a different homicide investigation with the same characters in the show, but not the same cases. I think you should read these as well!!!


Here they are, in order:
A serial killer is stalking and murdering newlyweds on their honeymoon. San Francisco Homicide inspector Lindsay Boxer takes the case and along the way meets three other women—a lawyer, a reporter, and the city medical examiner. Joining forces to solve this gruesome crime, the Women's Murder Club is born.

When family members of San Francisco cops are found dead, Detective Lindsay Boxer, Medical examiner Claire Washburn, reporter Cindy Thomas and Assistant D.A. Jill Bernhardt are faced with a tough case. As the killer looks for his next victim, the women must quickly track him down before he kills again.

Lindsay Boxer and friends must track down a deadly terror group who begins their killing spree by blowing up an expensive townhouse—with the family still inside. In the meantime, a member of the club may be in some trouble of her own and Lindsay could be too late to save her.

After an arrest goes awry, Lindsay finds herself facing police brutality charges. But taking time off to cool down proves harder then she thought. As she heads out of town, Lindsay finds herself in the middle of a killing spree, and must locate the killers before they find her. Back in San Francisco, the Women's Murder Club helps to get Lindsay through the trial…but will she be found innocent?

Patients at San Francisco medical Center are mysteriously dying hours before they are to be released with a clean bill of health. Lindsay and the rest of the Women's Murder Club begin their own investigation into the hospital, but the list of suspects proves to be as long as the list of patients.

Someone opens fire on unsuspecting pedestrians and one of the Women's Murder Club is caught in the middle. As she struggles for her life, the others must work fast to track down the madman. In another part of the city, somebody is targeting children and their nannies. As the kidnappers await their random, Lindsay and company are faced with finding the mastermind before more children are harmed.

So... it's been a week

Ok, so it's been a week since I've spoken to Jordan. I'm not really dealing with this very well, but it's getting better. I've just been really lonely and bored. I went from being really, really busy and going non-stop, to pretty much not having anything to do. I guess I didn't realize how much time I spent with him, especially in the past couple months. I have been searching, desparately, to find things to do. I've been hanging out w/ Lucy a lot and I have deep cleaned my room and my car! All of my laundry is done and put away, thanks a lot to my mother. I hung out with my parents and their friends on Friday night. I've hung out w/ my friends a little but they all have their own lives going on and I feel bad for calling them like every 5 minutes. I've even been thinking about studying a lot! I must be really bored. I'm just nervous because it's only been one week and I'm already having a hard time finding things to do. I really, really, really, need to get a job, but I don't know where else to go because I don't do well w/ jobs I hate and the places I wouldn't hate will not call me back! I also want to start working out, but if you know me at all, you know I HATE to work out so I'm putting that off. I suppose I've just been having a pitty party lately, but I also kinda think I've had the right to. I'm also really curious about what Jordan is doing and what he's going through, and as of right now, I have no idea! I still don't have his address so I haven't been able to communicate with him since he was at the Indianapolis airport! I realize this blog is kinda long and boring for everyone else...but I had to get these things off my mind! I guess I'm just kinda pissed because this whole thing about him going to the Marines was not even close to my choice and I feel like it has changed my life a lot too... I dunno... I know that's selfish but whatever! I'm also really scared that we are going to grow too much apart while he's gone and then things won't be the same when he gets home. Anyway... I feel better now! And I've even passed some time in my class! I get out in 2minutes! :)

haha my dad sent me this! Crack me up... the email I got was about this man who went in to get a hands-free set for his cell phone and didn't want to spend $45 and so he came up with his own! it was only $0.08. haha

PLEASE RECYCLE!!!

I think recycling is very important. It's so easy now, too! Almost everyone is provided those recycle bins by the city, or trash companies, or whatever. We recycled when I lived in Bloomington (I still do it now, too) and it's so easy to just throw your plastics, styrofoam, glass, paper products, etc. into the recycle bin rather than the trash can. You would be suprised how much this decreases your trash! Anyway... I was looking things up (because I'm in class) and I went to this really great site, Great Green Gods, and everything on the site is recycled...but I found this table and I was really shocked... check it out and think about it!! RECYCLE!!!!

Halloween!

My mother, Lucy, and I went to get pumpkins this weekend!! There is this house not too far from ours that just puts tons of pumpkins out in their yard and then put a box that says "donations". We asked the man about it and he said that he does this because they are too expensive at the stores and he wanted to provide pumpkins for families that couldn't afford them. So, we go there every year and leave a pretty good donation to help support it because I think it's cool! Anyway I'm really, really excited about Halloween! It's one of my favorite time of year! I have been really excited to get Lucy Mae a halloween costume, so I went to Target and found two that I couldn't decide on. I will add pictures to this post soon because I can't afford to keep them both, but they are sooo cute that I can't decide which one to keep!!! Anyway... Happy Fall everyone! :)
