Sooo ready for the beach!!!

This will be me in less than 48 hours!!! :)

I just want to let everyone know that tomorrow I will be leaving for Florida!!!! I am so excited I am about to die!! I'm sitting in class thinking about it right now and I'm having trouble sitting still!! We are driving though, so I won't get there till Saturday afternoon. My paretns are also making me drive in the wee hours of the night because they say I'm a night owl! But I don't care about any of that stuff... I just can't wait to lay on the beach!!!!!!I hope you all are jealous! :) Plus, Jill and Freeman are gonna be there with me too!! AMAZING!!!!

This is how I feel!

I #$@%ing hate Ball State!! I'm so sick of school right now it's rediculous!!! All of my professors are assholes and I'm about to leave for a week and they are all going to be mad at me. I had one absence in my math class that was excused so that when I go to Florida I won't be in trouble...but my stupid ass professor told me that he doesn't count excused absences and you just get the three and that's it. So, now I won't be able to get higher than a C in that class because I'll have one too many absences...uuuugh %#$@ HIM!!! I'm so mad

And now I'm even more mad because my Anth professor just gave me a pop quiz!!! I also have a health exam today ugh! I also have to take the Praxis exam on Sat. and I haven't prepared for it at all.. I'm really nervous because I'm never going to get into the teachers college here! I should have NEVER left IU!!!
Ok I'm done and I feel a little better!

P.S. These(%#$@) stand for the F word.... I was real mad.

Today, my sister, Betsy, turns 27!!! Man she's gettin old!!!! haha Love you Betsy! :)

One year ago today...

... my friend Lynsey K. Schildmeier was raped and killed in her own home. I can't believe it's been a whole year. It still seems like it happened a couple weeks ago. The trial was back in October and the killer, Craig Shank, recieved life in prison with no chance of parole. I'm using this blog to ask you all for your prayers. Please pray for Lynsey's family and friends as we try to get through this hard time. R.I.P. LKS 9/5/85-3/19/06


I also want to create more awareness and prevention of rape and domestic violence. On the day of Lynsey's funeral, we all wore the little light purple ribbons. I don't think people realize how many women are victimized each year by rape and domestic violence. Here are some disturbing facts:

-Around the world, atleast one in three women has been beaten, forced into sex, or otherwise abused during her lifetime.
-In the USA, a woman is raped every 90 seconds.
-Only 48 percent of sexual assaults are reported to the police...that's less than half!
-28 percent of rapes occure when the offender uses a weapon.
-Domestic violence has killed more women in the last 5 years than the number of Americans who were killed in the Vietnam War.

Please help me to support this in memory of Lynz.

I did this to Jordan just a couple weeks ago. We weren't doing anything though, but he had on a shirt that she bought him and I didn't like it...so I waited till he fell asleep on the couch and rubbed my face on his shoulder. ha

I would give anything to have someone think about me this way. aww

Gene's Root Beer Stand

One of my favorite things about Anderson is our hotdog stand! As of March 1st, it is open for the season and I could not be more excited about it! It is way old fashioned, too! You pull your car up under the awning and the waitresses even put your tray of food on your half-rolled-down window! It's so stinkin cute! Plus, the food is AWESOME! My favorite is a coney dog, an order of breaded mushrooms, and a frosted mug of root beer. However, since I gave up soft drinks for Lent, I haven't had any of their root beer yet and I am NOT happy about it! I just found out, tonight, that Gene's was ranked #4 in the National Root Beer Rating in 2005. I think that is very cool. Here is the list:

New Pictures!

I have not drank any soft drinks for exactly 14 days!!! (Other than a little sprite in my vodka and cranberry at the bar last night) I'm extrememly proud of myself! I am really missing my diet coke though and when I saw this postsecret, I HAD to put it up!
